The Heart of a Samurai
This book is quite informational, and is quite understanding. Entering a new world, where nothing is familiar, and everything is new. That, i can connect with. In it, Manjiro decides weather to go back to Japan, and i like how he decided to return to Japan.
I also like how the author told Manjiro’s thoughts in details, and shows the struggles with learning a new language from scratch. I know how that feels. I can connect with the character in many ways. I like how the author explains what different whaling things are, that helped a lot. I also liked how it could show the differences between American and Japanese minds.
